Scott J. Silbert

Scott J. Silbert, President and founder of Creative Planning Strategies (CPS) has built a successful career in the financial services industry since 1981 through a combination of innovative financial strategies and client advocacy. Scott utilizes a unique, three-dimensional approach to viewing money. The benefit of this approach is to generate wealth protection and acceleration strategies that can transform the way clients think about money.

Scott’s 3D Wealth™ perspective helps clients and their advisors clearly grasp the value of owning permanent life insurance and illustrates how this value can “be brought to life” without the insured having to die or sell their policy. It also tends to create a new freedom for clients to spend and enjoy their wealth without worrying about negatively impacting their heirs.

CPS seeks to provide significant value to high net worth individuals, successful business owners and highly compensated executives and professionals. CPS markets its unique wealth enhancement know-how almost exclusively through a robust network of relationships with other highly-regarded and well-known financial advisory firms. These include accounting firms, banks, law firms and family offices. In addition, Scott speaks nationally about the importance and power of three-dimensional financial strategies and whole life insurance in the high net worth marketplace.

Scott’s involvement in the financial services industry began early. For over seventy years, his family has owned and operated the Sterling National Bank and Trust Company of New York, a public national bank, finance and factoring firm (NYSE: STL). Scott worked with his grandfather, the well-known business leader and philanthropist Theodore H. Silbert and his father, Arthur F. Silbert, in that firm for over five years before beginning his own financial services business in 1981. Scott is active in many charitable organizations, loves rock and contemporary jazz music and collects electric guitars. He is a graduate of Pace University and lives in New York City with his wife and three children.

Scott is also a Senior Managing Director of an affiliated firm, Wealth Advisory Group LLC. Scott’s credits include Top of the Table membership in the Million Dollar Round Table, and membership in the President’s Council of The Guardian Life Insurance Company of New York and MassMutual Financial Group. He has worked with the Lifetime Economic Acceleration Process since 2001.
